I married a man whose heart was born in Seville.  He brought me to the dreamy and romantic Andalusia in 2007, before we had children and life seemed simple and careless.  It was a two week trip through various towns of Andalusia, like Grenada, Cadiz and Arcos de la Frontera each with their unique and distinct flavor of Spanish and Moorish influence. It was sadly the last time we ever took such a long vacation, since the following year we had Isabelle.  But we are planning a big family trip next year and I can’t wait to share with them this beautiful part of the world.

This month I am inspired by Seville.  With its color, culture, cuisine and joy of life that Spaniards naturally posses.  If you haven’t been, you must one day go.  I promise you will fall in love, as I did.

This June, color is my true inspiration…probably due to the crummy weather we have been exposed to.  I am typically drawn to cooler tones, like blue, teal and fuchsia.  But I am excited to try warmer tones like orange, yellow and green.  Bohemian looks in the summer are so easy and chic….picture relaxed pants, maxi dresses and jumpsuits with statement jewelry and head scarves.  Chanel is clearly into color this season as well.  Love this dress below and the hat is so adorable.

Much like my style inspiration this month, for home decor, I am drawn to bright pops of color.  Maybe a bit of a modern eclectic feel.  This image is a perfect example of what makes me happy in a home.  You can click here to view more home decor ideas.

I cannot work, play, or live without music.  I constantly surround myself with it.  Befitting of June’s Mood, I created a Summer Chill playlist with some of my favorite Spanish inspired songs.  This is a relaxing compilation meant to set the mood for an outdoor dinner party or summer chilling.  I didn’t want to drive you mad with Flamenco and Spanish guitar, so I added a few jazz pieces and some bossanova. Outdoor Entertaining Ideas

Ok, picture this: Lounging on your comfy outdoor chaise with your favorite book in hand soaking up the soft summer rays.  Your friend drops by, for an impromptu visit.  You offer to pour her a glass of your Spiked Strawberry Lemonade Spritzer and suddenly it’s a party….so cool and refreshing, it’s hard to resist!

Lex and I have made Paella a few times.  We usually invite friends and family over and make the Paella the theme and get everyone involved.  Drinking, dancing, cooking…what could be more fun!

1. B&O Play : This is such an awesome gift for Father’s Day, especially if your husband travels.  The sound quality is amazing and I often use mine to play music on the terrace for an outdoor party.
2. Mara Hoffman Bird Suit : I love wearing bikinis (while I still can), but I do love this one-piece.  Shows off just enough skin and it’s super flattering.
3. Tori Praver Jumpsuit : How cute is this as a beach cover-up?  It’s pretty revealing, so unless you wear a shirt or tank under, it may be too much.  Still for the beach it’s amazing.
4. Schutz Carmen Slide : These would be adorable at the pool this summer.  I would actually use these for casual days walking around or shopping.
5. Anthropologie Pom Pom Pillows : I think these would add so  much color to my outdoor furniture.  So pretty and inviting…come lounge, please!

Love this posting, Ana! Brings me back. Along this vibe, I also love sherry (preferably Tio Pepe fino), the yellows, browns and earthy reds of the bull ring, Spanish aceitunas (olives), and the outfits of Feria de Abril. See here to view just a few:
